The South African Ballet Theatre wishes to express its great thanks and appreciation to the above donors for their prompt and generous response to SABT's call, as well as to the individuals, companies and members of the media who are tirelessly assisting SABT in ensuring that our call reaches as many as possible.

The Company must urgently raise an additional R4 million within the next two months. SABT is almost a third of the way towards reaching the R6 million target and requests any donor who may have already made a donation to SABT, but does not see their name reflected above, to kindly contact SABT on 011 877 6898 or email admin@saballettheatre.co.za to speedily remedy the situation.

The list above does not include the 130 patrons who responded to the 'Hall of 1000 Stars' campaign and pledged to debit amounts ranging from R50 to R 1 000 per month to SABT. These patrons' names can be viewed on the '1000 Stars' page.

Fiona Budd, SABT co-Director said "On behalf of all at The South African Ballet Theatre we would like to express our great thanks for the incredible support we have received from all our friends and supporters during 2009, and particularly during the past month.  It has been an overwhelming and extremely touching experience to see how much SABT is valued, treasured and loved and how so many will do all they can to ensure SABT's survival for years to come.  SABT embodies Quality, Glamour, Escapism and Magic and we remain committed to bringing you all of this and more in 2010."

SABT will be presenting two full - length season at the Joburg Theatre in Braamfontein this year: The first season is the world's best-known ballet, Swan Lake. The Swan Lake season will be performed from March 12 to April 4 2010 followed by Veronica Paeper's Carmen which returns to Johannesburg, after a seven year absence, from August 13 to 29 2010.

Patrons who book for both SABT's Swan Lake and their Carmen season at the Joburg Theatre will pay a lower combined-rate price for their tickets.

A Swan Lake Open Day will be presented on Saturday 27 February 2010, starting at 10h00 and ending at 13h00. Open Days at the SABT's Braamfontein studios are a rare opportunity for the public to catch a glimpse into the behind the scenes preparations for a season.

A Carmen Open Day will be presented on Saturday 31 July 2010, from 10h00 to 13h00. The cost is R60 per person.

Booking for both Open Days as well as the combined ticket offer for Swan Lake and Carmen seasons are open with Mr Moagi on + 27 11 877 6898 or email admin@saballettheatre.co.za.

General bookings for Swan Lake and Carmen are open through Computicket and include 10% discounts for block bookings of ten tickets or more, plus student and pensioner discounts upon presentation of a valid student or pensioner's card.
